BRI BAGWELL Cassie's Place Fundraiser

03:00 PM

Texas Female Artist of the Decade and reigning Female Vocalist of the Year, Bri Bagwell, is a force to be reckoned with on the Texas Country scene. Bri has seen her audience grow and diversify as she has progressed through the musical landscape. From her first full-length release, Banned from Santa Fe in 2011, to her 2022 release Corazón y Cabeza (Heart and Head) Bri has masterfully commanded the stage for over a decade with her rousingly fun live performances and trailblazing artistry while creating a loyal and passionate fan base.

Bri grew up in Las Cruces, NM but now lives in New Braunfels, TX. From the time she was writing poems in her childhood bedroom, to teaching herself how to play a dusty old piano, to getting her first taste of honky-tonk life singing in her twin brothers’ band at age 14, to playing her first solo show in college, Bri has integrated music into each stage of her life.

After high school, jumping at the chance to live in ‘The Live Music Capital of the World’, Bri attended the University of Texas in Austin. It was here that Bri picked up a guitar and quickly learned to play a few chords. She jokes, “because it was easier to carry than a piano.” Finding herself in the right city with a new passion for the 6-string life surrounded by fellow musicians, Bri was drawn to the stage.

Following graduation Bri worked with a startup company in Austin where she utilized her marketing major. But she began playing shows so frequently, she found herself needing to choose between her day job and her dream. After just three months, Bri knew what she had to do and transitioned full time into her music career. With twelve #1 songs in Texas and multiple Female Vocalist of the Year awards to her credit, it is clear she made the right choice.

A talent as tremendous as Bri’s has begun to garner national attention. People Magazine recently premiered her new record saying, “Bri Bagwell finds the path to her own heart on new album Corazón y Cabeza...[Bagwell] is increasingly finding her name being mentioned amongst country music truth tellers such as Ashley McBryde and Morgan Wade.”

Bri’s musical influences have all played a part in her musical evolution; from Johnny Cash to Dwight Yoakam, Miranda Lambert to George Strait, their spirits live within her songs. While on the road, she has shared the stage with some of the best: Willie Nelson, Miranda Lambert, Gary Alan, Dwight Yoakam, Randy Rogers, Robert Earl Keen, Wade Bowen just to name a few.

Playing over 100 shows in back-to-back years, Bagwell is no stranger when it comes to hard work. Fresh off the release of her new record, she is already writing new music alongside planning tour dates to some of her favorite venues. When asked about life on the road, Bri responds, “it’s in my blood.” Be on the lookout for new show announcements for 2024.

SEPTEMBER MOON

06:00 PM

September Moon is a high energy Texas band from Fort Worth that creatively blends Americana, Country and Rock into one unique sound. The band prides itself in delivering lively shows with catchy melodies and clever lyrics from lead vocalist Katherine Brown. In September of 2022, the band released their debut full length album, which charted 5 singles on the Billboard recognized Texas Regional Radio Report (including their first top 40 song). Later that year, September Moon signed a record deal with Mesquite Street Records for their second album set for a 2024 release.

Members Katherine Brown, Daniel Brown, Marcus Mirelez and Mo Stevens began crafting their sound in 2020, quickly becoming a Fort Worth Stockyards staple. Cutting their teeth in honky tonks and dive bars throughout Texas helped hone in and create the entertaining live show that they have become known for.

Along the way, September Moon has received recognitions and awards from institutions such as the Texas Regional Radio Awards, Texas Country Music Association, Fort Worth Weekly, Dallas Observer and the Texas Internet Radio Awards.

September Moon has played throughout Texas, the Midwest and Tennessee at noteable venues and festivals such as Americana Fest and SXSW. Sharing stages and supporting artists including Tracy Byrd, Randy Rogers, Sawyer Brown, William Clark Green, Neal McCoy and many more, September Moon is quickly rising as one of North Texas’ most exciting new acts in Americana and Country music.

JESSEE LEE BAND

A LITTLE ABOUT JESSEE LEE

A SOULFUL SONGSTRESS

Nashville recording Artist and Texas touring act, Jessee Lee, is a troubadour at its finest. At the ripe age of 25, she plays over 160 shows per year touring acoustically and with her 5 piece band. She has opened for several artists including Pure Prairie League, Darryl Worley, Radney Foster, William Beckmann, Kix Brooks, and others along with gracing the historic stages of Gruene Hall, Luckenbach Dancehall, John T. Floore’s Country Store, The AT&T Stadium, Dosey Doe—The Big Barn, and many more. Along with playing iconic venues around Texas, she has performed at festivals all around the United States including the Key West Songwriter Festival, the Mississippi Songwriter Festival, Forever West Fest, the Panama City Songwriter Festival, Florabama, and many more, sharing her Vintage-Americana-Soul sound. “Vintage-Americana-Soul” is the easiest way to box in this unique Artist, but Jessee’s music is a melting pot of genres ranging from Country to Motown topped with dimples and a lot of turquoise. Jessee Lee is known for her picturesque songwriting ability, unique vocals, and quirky bass line-like guitar playing. Jessee’s biggest musical influences include Amy Winehouse, Waylon Jennings, Guy Clark, Leon Redbone, Dolly Parton, Etta James, Elvis, and the Alabama Shakes.

Along with legendary singers, Jessee was heavily shaped by the Nashville Songwriting scene. Her Father, Grammy nominated Singer-Songwriter, David Lee, was her biggest musical influence. From the early age of 6, her father taught her how to play guitar and he emphasized the importance of good story telling in a song. There is no doubt she absorbed all of the creativity she grew up around. With over 200 original songs, you will find Jessee’s songwriting ability surpasses the usual mind of a 25 year old. Her repertoire of songs cover the reality of aging, the inner workings of family, the quest of life’s purpose, the hardships and happiness of relationships, and the obscure thoughts we have all had, but never knew we needed a song for. Jessee’s passion for writing songs extends outside of just writing songs for her records and for other artists, but it also extends to working with Veterans. Jessee began working with an organization called “Operation Song” in the beginning of 2022 which allows her to write the stories of active and retired military Veterans with PTSD as a form of music therapy at a rehab center called Warrior’s Heart.

Jessee put out her first single in November of 2022 titled "Dive Bar Superstar" which earned her "Texas Song of the Week" on the TIR charts and another in January of 2023 called "You're Gonna Be Your Mama". Both are original songs that showcase her humor as well as her ability to seamlessly blend Country and Soul music. In 2023, Jessee  dropped her first song to Texas Regional Radio called "Where He Ain't" which charted in the top 20's--not bad for a debut. Jessee released her first 7-song EP titled "Dive Bar Superstar", which she co-produced, in August of 2023 and is already planning on getting back in the studio to start the next project by December of 2023. With no plan of slowing down, Jessee Lee is sure to be a name you will be hearing for years to come. Come see a show near you to see why she is known as one of the best female singer-songwriters in the scene.

12 MILE

08:30 PM

12 Mile, an energetic Texas Country band rooted in San Angelo, TX, found its inception through a stroke of serendipity. The journey began when Beau King, the lead vocalist, was discovered singing his favorite George Strait track while stocking dog food at the local Walmart. Intrigued by Beau's talent, lead guitarist Charles Reyes invited him to an impromptu jam session. The musical chemistry blossomed with the addition of Danny Moya on drums, Jimmy Patino on bass guitar, and Michaela Robinson on the fiddle.

Recognizing the potential within this talented ensemble, 12 Mile entrusted their faith and original compositions to producer Jude Dyllan (Vaudevylle). Recording sessions unfolded at Red Dirt Studio, guided by Jude, renowned for collaborations with industry heavyweights like Ashley Gorley, Shane Stevens, Blair Daly, and Troy Verges.

Making waves in the Texas music scene, 12 Mile boasts two charting songs on the Texas music charts: "Sing Along" and "The Bottle."

Having graced stages with notable acts such as Pat Green, Cory Morrow, Texas Tornado's, William Clark Green, Bart Crow, Austin Mead, and more, 12 Mile exudes energy, excitement, and musical excellence from the moment they step onto the stage. With the versatility to deliver either a one-hour set or a complete four-hour show, the band captivates audiences with their compelling performances.
