At the tender age of eighteen, the Seattle-born crooner Gus Clark hit out to explore the United States with a backpack and a mandolin, cutting his teeth playing on the street and traveling by freight train or the kindness of those still bold enough to pick up a hitchhiker. Emerging over ten years later as an accomplished multi-instrumentalist (guitar, accordion, mandolin, and more), he now pays beautiful homage to an ultra-deep well of golden-era American music traditions, ranging from pre-WWII blues to 1960s Nashville honky tonk. In a voice that combines unique sincerity with pitch-perfect emotive richness, Clark delivers classic barn-burners, good-time dance tunes, bittersweet heartbreak ballads, and his own originals. His remarkable tenor and powerful musical presence are guaranteed to both wrench hearts and propel listeners onto the dance floor, whether Clark performs solo or backed by his rock-solid band.
Over the years, Clark has proved himself as a staple of the Seattle music scene, frequenting the area's renowned country dance bars and Americana venues and lighting up its largest festivals with a range of projects. A regular guest vocalist at tribute nights and charity events, he's shared the stage with contemporary greats and up-and-comers such as Charlie Crockett, Pokey LaFarge, Eilen Jewell, Cactus Blossoms, Jeremy Pinnell, Whitney Rose, Easy Leaves, and Jaime Wyatt. He’s a regular touring member of the outlaw party-country band Country Lips, contributing on accordion, vocals, and mandolin. For a decade now, Clark has also made music - an unmatchable mix of early jazz, jug-band, country, blues, old-time, Cajun, klezmer and originals - with his "musical sibling,” the Virginia-raised fiddle virtuoso and singer/songwriter Annie Ford. The dynamic duo's sweet harmonies have won hearts in humble living rooms, on street corners, on the grand stages of old vaudeville theaters, and far beyond.
Small Town Habit has a unique country sound based on their love for harmony vocals, and Texas Country Music fronted by the Husband and Wife duo of Charlie and Krystal Franklin. Filling out the band's roster is Fabian Vela on Lead Guitar, Kyle Schneider on Drums and Stephen Villela on the Bass Guitar. The band recently released their first album in which all songs were written by Charlie and Krystal Franklin, and was Produced by James Hertless of Hertlocker Studio.

Gary P. Nunn has been TAKING TEXAS TO THE COUNTRY and Texas country to the world for some 40 years now, establishing himself as an icon of Lone Star music. A founding father of the progressive country movement out of Austin in the 1970s that changed the face of popular music, Nunn is also an independent music pioneer who continues to oversee his own record label and song publishing companies, manage his own career (with the help of his wife Ruth), and play most every weekend at top music venues throughout Texas and beyond. His composition “London Homesick Blues” — with its internationally known “I wanna go home with the Armadillo” chorus — is a signature Texas country song that was the theme for the PBS concert TV show “Austin City Limits” for nearly three decades. It’s no wonder that All Music Guide hails him as “a Texas music institution.”
And now on TAKING TEXAS TO THE COUNTRY, Nunn continues to musically progress while staying true to his roots. It’s something of a travelogue in song that begins with a cosmic cowboy trip back to a love that once was on “Deja Vu,” and later visits a sorrowful “Denver” and a Cajun fais do do “Down To Louisiana,” plus takes a restful vacation along a “Mexican Boulevard,” and bops to a bit of Jamaican reggae on “It’s Not Love.” Longing for Texas travels the map on “One State of Mind,” while “Lonesome Lone Star Blues” tours the cities and towns of the Republic.
Along the way one meets a true Texan on “The Likes of Me” and a confirmed bachelor on “I’m Not That Kind of Guy.” Love is found just “A Two-Step Away,” and happiness comes every Friday night when “The Girl Just Loves to Dance.” The album finally wraps up with a message to Nashville about where country music still lives and thrives on the title tune, followed by the sweetly pleading closing devotional “The Rest of My Life.” And within its 13 tracks, Nunn and company touch on a spectrum of dance rhythms while the star of the show hits those emotional sweet spots throughout with his always warm and heartfelt singing.

For a decade, Ellis Bullard has been turning heads across Texas. His authentic songwriting and mix of cutting-edge rock with old-fashioned, swinging country music has caught on — in a big way. In the midst of a breakout stretch, he’s inviting fans old and new to join in his journey.
“I’m just a person, just a guy out there having a good time and trying to make sure other people are too,” Bullard says. “I give my time to people, and I think that means a lot to them. I’m genuinely trying to forge relationships and have meaningful interactions with all the fans I meet on the road.”
In the wake of 2024’s Honky Tonk Ain’t Noise Pollution, his second LP, Bullard has left no doubt that country music is still yearning for the true-blue honky-tonk experience he brings to the stage and studio. Listen to Bullard, and you’re listening to a life of barnstorming, hard living, and layers of musical influences. “I just grew up in a musical household. It was always there,” Bullard says of roots that were in place before he was born. His mother was a studio artist in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, often recording at the iconic FAME Studios throughout the 1970s. His father played in a handful of dance hall bands during Bullard’s youth. For most of his life, the stage called out to him. “I
wasn’t good at anything else,” he says. “I was an OK student, and I wasn’t the best athlete, but I always knew my way around a song.”
While attending college at Texas State in San Marcos, Bullard strolled into a local bar to watch a friend perform, when he got called on stage during a set break. He played a few originals, and a fan tipped him $100 and asked when he would be playing more shows. Bullard never looked back. He put a band together and hit the Austin scene hard, landing an opening spot for
Whiskey Myers for one of their 2017-18 tour dates, and frontman Cody Cannon offered some early words of support. Bullard’s momentum culminated at Austin’s White Horse honky tonk in early 2022 when Joe Rogan strolled in and was blown away by Bullard’s sound. Rogan shared a clip of Bullard’s performance that night with his 14 million Instagram followers, and a buzz
ensued that really has not slowed since. His debut album, Piss-Hot Freightlining Country Music, was released a few months later and cemented Bullard as a rising star at a time when authentic artists were regaining a foothold in country music.
